Baby Scarlett Arrives Safe and Sound!

Baby Scarlett arrived safe and sound February 2nd, although in such a hurry to be cuddled and loved, she came early and her daddy missed the birth (stranded in Europe, awaiting a flight out! ) She is a dainty little thing, weighing only 5 pounds 11 oz and truly an angel--such a mellow personality!
Thank you for all of your kind comments, good wishes and prayers on her behalf. She left the NICU in record time, I'm sure because of your prayers! I'm so looking forward to being "grandma"! There is nothing like holding a newborn to help us reflect on how truly blessed we are in this life!

Our buyer has just returned from an 11 day trip to the Czech Republic, bringing back loads of vintage and antique treasures such as rhinestone pins--still on original old stock display cards, ornate glass buttons on original factory display cards (oh-so-rare!), faceted jewel tone beads, holiday spun cotton ornaments, fancy glass buttons on cards, brooches, antique Christmas ornaments...the list goes on and on! Watch for these treasures to be listed over the course of the next few weeks!! Be sure to bring a bib to wipe the drool off your chin--these will "knock yer socks off!"

With St Patrick's Day on the horizon, my thoughts drift back to
my visit to the Emerald Isle last May. Despite the constant
drizzle and the overcast skies, fond memories of the spectacular views from atop castle walls, basking in the warmth of the kindness of Ireland's residents,
meandering through quaint colorful villages, warm scones with cream and jam all come together to create a wave of bittersweet nostalgia...
I wish I could figure out a way to purchase a secluded , cozy cottage, vibrant perennial garden included,
and retire to that wonderful country!
